Estimate. Quote.
Prices are subject to PUC MAX 4 tariff. Estimates for local moves are not at rates or do not exceed
amounts. Quotes are provided based on the information we receive from you as well as our experience.
The deposit is not refundable. Full packing quotes do not include unpacking i.e. unboxing stuff
(unpacking service is billed at an hourly rate). For long-distance projects, Next Moving implements a
progressive rate structure for transportation. This rate depends on the client’s actual volume and/or
weight, with the price for additional cubic footage varying based on the chosen delivery option.
Additionally, for long-distance moves, the loading and unloading processes are billed on an hourly
basis. Please note that we do not provide not-to-exceed prices. For local moves driving time between
pick-up and delivery location is doubled according to “Bureau Of Household Goods And Services”
regulations and is called double-driving time. Next Moving Company shall not be liable for any weather
conditions, traffic or any technical difficulties. We may dispose of/haul unneeded items at extra charge.
The full payment for the local move should be made once everything has been delivered and the job is
completed.

Additional insurance may be purchased at third-party insurance company. Upon the purchase, Next
Moving Company must be notified no less than 72 hours prior to the day of the move. Unless all
household goods are properly packed by the customer, the packing will be done by Next Moving
Company employees and company materials, in order to get coverage. In order to save the client time
and money, we do not typically take an inventory of items to be moved. If you would like us to, please let
us know beforehand. Next Moving Company shall not be responsible for any damages to any plants. Next
Moving Company shall not be liable for any loss or damage, unless the claim is made in writing by mail
supported by proof of ownership, together with the substation of value, and weight. As a condition
precedent all outstanding monies due to the mover must be paid in full before a claim can be submitted
to the company within 9 months after the date the goods are delivered or demand thereof refused and
must be limited to the destination descriptions of damage indicated on the inventory logs at the time of
delivery. It is solely the shipper’s responsibility to inspect and indicate damaged or missing item at time of
delivery. Valuation of claim will be based on those indications subject to the limitations of liability as an
ad on the Bill of Lading. Liability for the moving company will be in accordance with the liability option the
shipper contracts for.
Simulated wood furniture.
Simulated wood furniture includes particle board furniture, pressed-wood furniture, etc. IKEA furniture is
the most popular example of this kind of furniture. According to manufacturer specifications, simulated
wood furniture is not designed to be moved as assembled furniture. Next Moving Company will not be
liable for any damages associated with the process of moving/disassembling and reassembling such
furniture.
Tight spaces and stairs.
If an item being moved is large compared with the hallway, doorway, stairs, elevators or similar it is
being moved through Next Moving Company will notify customer that damage may result. If customer
agrees, Next Moving Company will be as careful as possible but is not responsible if any damage does
occur to that item or walls, door frames, and the like. If customer does not agree, Next Moving
Company will not move that item. Our standard rates include service to locations with up to 36 steps
or 3 flights of stairs. For locations with more than 36 steps or 3 flights of stairs, a surcharge of 30%
will be added to the total cost of services rendered. This increase will be applied at the location and
the time of service. If your drop off or pick up location has less than 36 steps or 3 flights of stairs, a
surcharge of 30% will not be added to your hourly rate. The surcharge is not a part of the driving
time.
Appliances.
If you plan to move such appliances as a refrigerator, washer, or dryer, Next Moving Company is
not responsible for disconnecting them from a water supply system. Next Moving Company will not
take apart doors from refrigerators. Appliances have a thin metal veneer that is extremely easy to
scratch or dent. Next Moving Company cannot be held responsible for dents, scratches, or the working
order of any major appliances.
Floors, walls, ceilings, doors, windows.
As we are moving furniture and other large items, it is always possible, though not common, for floors or
walls to sustain damage. Next Moving Company is limited to liability up to 10% from the final bill
per residence where such damage has occurred. We cannot be held responsible if floors or carpets are
soiled during a move. We will be glad to assist with providing floor protection for hardwood
surfaces. Such request should be made at least 72 hours prior to the date of the move.
Heavy items.
Under worker’s compensation insurance one mover is only able to carry 51 pounds of weight, two movers
are only able to carry 130 pounds of weight, three movers are only able to carry 200 pounds of weight, four
movers are only able to carry 270 pounds of weight. If at the date of the move, during the arrival, we find
any piece of furniture that is overweight by the law we can refuse to move it. Additional manpower may
be provided per request on the day of the move at $50.00 per person per hour (3 hours is the minimum
charge). Extra Heavy Item is the item that weighs more than 270 pounds for four movers (and more) or
weighs more than 200 pounds and less than 270 pounds for three movers, or weighs more than 130
pounds and less than 200 pounds for two movers, or weighs more than 51 pounds and less than 130
pounds for one mover. If there is an item that exceeds eligible weight limit this item could be lifted and
transported either if additional manpower is provided, or if a foreman decides that Extra Heavy Item can
be lifted and transported with the current number of movers and specific moving tools and supplies
(heavy duty dollies, hydraulic tools, piano boards, etc.). If a client proceeds with the initial number of
movers, the Extra Heavy Item Fee will be applied. The Extra Heavy Item Fee for an Extra Heavy Item that
weighs more than 270 pounds for four movers, or weighs more than 200 pounds for three movers, or
weighs more than 130 pounds for two movers ranges from $80 to $250 if there are no stairs with the
increment of $25 for every 100 pounds. If there is a staircase, Extra Heavy Item Fee will be increased for
$75 for the first 2 flights of stairs. One flight of stairs is considered to consist of twelve steps or less. The
maximum height of the step should not exceed 10 inches. $75 fee will be added for every extra flight of
stairs during the moving process. If the flight of stairs has more than 12 steps, the number of the flights is
calculated based on the total number of steps divided by 12. Additional $100 fee will be added as the
Assembly Fee, for every Baby Grand Piano/Grand Piano.
Other.

end of the move, or we can either sell or rent them out for $20.00 each. To rent our blankets you have to
pay the same amount as the deposit. The maximum free of charges rent period is 7 days. After the
7th day, $10 per item will be excluded from the deposit. After the 14th day $15 per item will be excluded
from the deposit. After 21 days pass from the date of your move, your rent period will expire and the
deposit will not be refundable at that point. During the period when client uses our storage units, the
blankets and wardrobe boxes are free. A $350.00 per day security parking fee will apply in case if the
customer refuses to accept delivery at the time agreed. The final bill will be charged before the
completion of the unloading process. Next Moving Company has a right to keep all belongings in
the truck until the payment is received in full. We do not accept personal or business checks under any
circumstances.
Parking.
A shipper/client whose name is appeared in the form above or whom moving service is provided is
responsible for providing parking spaces for his/her move at all locations of pickup and delivery. The
shipper is liable for any parking tickets due to the inability to obtain a parking permit or reserving other
legal parking spaces at any location where he/she requires movers to stop. Any tickets or fines
incurred during your move due to a lack of reserved or available parking will be added to the bill. A
shipper/client is responsible for watching a truck while movers are working to ensure the safety of his/
her belongings. Otherwise, an additional mover should be hired to do so. Not reserving parking can
add greatly to the walking distance necessary for a move and thus the time and cost. In order to save
your time and money, please, take care of providing parking spaces for your movers.
Tips.
Tipping is a standard way to show your gratitude, however, this is NOT MANDATORY. A tip is also a way to
show that you recognize the extra effort our movers put in, in order to finish your project with exceptional
quality. It is solely up to the client to decide how much of a tip to leave a moving team, or to even leave
any. Next Moving Company never forces clients to leave tips.
No refund policy.
